Sister's Inn Fusion Glass

Dichroic Jewelry

Definition:

Dichroic jewelry is a fused glass piece that consists of 2 or more layers of glass. There are a variety of finish choices.

Dichroic glass is the hot (no pun intended), popular art glass used in making jewelry. Dichroic glass comes in a variety of colors, textures, and patterns. I create pendants, earrings, brooches, bracelets, and specialty pieces. Rings are in the works. The pendants and brooches are available in four sizes: small, medium, large and oversized. All pieces are fused and have a minimum of three layers of glass in their composition. They are fused, re-shaped, and fired polished. The items are then finished with sterling silver wire wraps or bails and pins. Custom pieces are created upon request. Each piece has been kiln fired twice. All of the pieces are corded on either chain, leather, silk, or cotton, depending on what the customer would like. There is a range of sizes and colors.

I have developed several series of jewelry. Currently these include:

  1. Northern Landscapes - Pendants in which the images are drawn from Northern Canadian scenery.
  2. Northern Ice - Pendants, earrings and brooches inspired by the Northern Climes.
  3. Chaos –a series that includes free form pendants, earrings, and brooches.
  4. Northern Icons - Copper and glass pendants that include northern Canadian images such as snowflakes, moose, and maple leaves to name a few. I am also working on complimenting earrings because of the high demand.

I have a range of other unique pieces that catch the eye and intrigue. Please feel free to contact me if you have questions.
