About Wendy
Wendy enjoys the challenge of being asked, "Can you do this…". She works with stained glass, fused glass and Dichroic art glass jewelry. Both the fused glass and Dichroic Art Glass jewelry are created in a kiln. It is a process which combines both the vision of the artist and the unexpected magic of high temperature.
When it comes to stained glass Wendy's favorite challenge is to take your picture or idea and turn it into a pattern for a window, window insert, or sun catcher. Fused glass pieces range from functional art (plates, bowls, vases or platters), to decorative art pieces made simply to enjoy. She has been working with glass in these different areas since 1999.
You will also find Wendy's pieces in a number of gift shops throughout Northern British Columbia. Especially at Art Gallery gift shops. She has just completed her first independent show this past summer in Wells BC, at Island Mountain Arts, Art Gallery. The title of her show was: Tensions: The art of color and light.
